My morning routine
A typical day in my life starts with me waking up at 6:30 in the morning. I wash my face with a splash of cold water, brush my teeth, lather my face with a minty face wash and answer to my nature's call! You may say, I am a morning person. Mornings are usually the most beatiful part of my day. After all, this is the moment of the day tiny birds take their first flight. And I take my first step towards loving myself.
I usually go for early morning yoga claases, which start from 7 in the morning and go up until 8:10-8:15. To anyone reading this blog who is presently suffering from anxiety or depression, I would highly recommend a one-hour yoga, preferably on offline mode. Speaking from experience, the first week is the hardest, but soon it gets simpler and easier, with time. The feeling of being able to do a difficult-looking asana, breaking a sweat, balancing the right and left portions of your body feeds a thousand positive words to the soul.
After my yoga, I walk back home, enjoying the hustle-bustle of the morning. Instagram has taught me to call this, my "me-time". Introverts have known this hour since time immemorial. This is the time I see stray dogs basking under the sun in lethargy, after toiling the night. I see squirrels climb trees, eat nuts, leaves, and seeds; other joggers on their way to fitness and happiness; and the bright yellow sun smiling at me from far. God, I love a good morning. Finally, at around 9:00-9:30, post yoga and a semi-healthy breakfast, I start with my day!
